October 8 --
Brooke and her band headline at The Coach House in San Juan
Capistrano.
Brooke's song "Let
It Out" will be featured in the film "Bonneville",
starring Jessica Lang, Kathy Bates, Joan Allen, and Christine
Baranski. "Bonneville" debuted at the Toronto film
festival in September.
Brooke is
featured in the ninth episode of a new PBS show called "Branson Jubilee",
which is airing nationwide this summer and fall. Brooke's
performance includes "When I Saw You See Me", "Let It Out", and
"Landslide". The episode also features The Dillards and
guest stars Bill Medley.
Summer -- The
WB used Brooke's song "Someday" throughout the summer on
commercials for its hit series, "Gilmore Girls".
August-November --
Brooke participated in NBC's music competition, "Star
Tomorrow", making it to the final round.
July 29 --
Brooke opens for Raul Malo (of "The Mavericks") and John Corbett
(of "Northern Exposure" and "Sex and the City") at The Coach
House in San Juan Capistrano.
June 30 --
Brooke starts another series of shows at the Sawdust Festival in
Laguna Beach, California.
Brooke sang
background vocals for Ziggy Marley's CD, "Love Is My Religion",
released on July 2.
February 2 --
Brooke opens for Howard Jones at The Coach House in San Juan
Capistrano.
2005
MGM used
Brooke's song "Now" in the trailer for the DVD release of "Kiss
the Bride".
December 18 --
Brooke and her band headline a holiday concert at The Coach
House in San Juan Capistrano.
November/December -- Brooke
makes a return visit to the "Sawdust Festival Winter Fantasy" in
Laguna Beach.
October --
Brooke's original song "Someday" was used in the commercial for
NBC's new series, "Three Wishes".
September 18
-- Brooke opens for Duncan Sheik at The Coach House in San Juan
Capistrano.
August 15 --
Brooke's song, "A Long Way", is featured on ABC Family's new
series, "Beautiful People".
July -- Brooke
finishes recording her latest CD, "By Request", which
is a guitar/vocal CD of her most requested songs at shows.
The CD features guitar/vocal versions of two of her songs, along
with her most requested cover tunes, three in French.
July 1 --
Brooke returns to the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach,
California, for the first of eight shows in July and August.
June 4 --
Brooke opens for contemporary country artist Deana Carter at The
Coach House in San Juan Capistrano.
May 12 --
Brooke opens again for one of her musical influences, Shawn
Colvin, at The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano.
January 16 --
Brooke opens for David Wilcox at The Coach House in San Juan
Capistrano.
2004
November/December -- Brooke is back at the Sawdust Festival in
Laguna Beach, California, this time for the "Sawdust Festival
Winter Fantasy".
October --
Brooke's song, "I Wanted You to Know", was heard on Comedy
Central's "Drawn Together".
Brooke
returned to the studio to record a new CD of all original
material, "Turn It Around", which was released
in September. Brooke's new creative partner, Mike Busbee
(known as "busbee") wrote the songs with Brooke, and produced
the album.
Summer --
Brooke performs with her band at a number of summer concert
events throughout Southern California, including Aliso Viejo,
Laguna Hills, Rialto, Ladera Ranch, and La Cañada. She
also performs for the first time at the Sawdust Festival in
Laguna Beach, California.
April 18 --
Brooke opens again for Vonda Shepard at The Coach
House in San Juan Capistrano.
2003
December 14 --
Brooke and her band headline a holiday show at The Coach House
in San Juan Capistrano.
September 28
-- Brooke opens for Vonda Shepard (from "Ally McBeal") at

September 7 --
95.5 KLOS,
one of the premier rock radio stations in Southern California,
featured Brooke's music for a second time on its "Local Licks"
show.
A remix of
Brooke's song "If You Love Me" was included on "Home", a
compilation CD to benefit Children International that was
released during the summer. The CD is available at
www.homecd.net.
Brooke
recorded two songs for Disney's "Air Bud Spikes Back",
which was released on DVD and video during the summer.
April --
Brooke's "LIVE" CD was released. Recorded at The
Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, the CD features favorite
originals, some covers, and two songs in French.
March 23
-- HBO's "Six Feet Under" used Brooke's song "As For Me".
March 3
-- NBC's
"Meet My Folks" used another of Brooke's song -- "Make
Tomorrow Up".
March 1
-- Brooke's CD "Be" and song "Only" were recognized by the
Just Plain Folks music awards in the
pop album and pop song categories. "Someday" was also
nominated in the Best Pop Song category.

-- NBC's "Meet My Folks" used Brooke's song "Walk Through

-- Two of Brooke's songs -- "Anything" and "The Answer" were
selected for a customizable "Dawson's Creek" soundtrack that's

December 2002
-- Brooke was nominated for three
Just Plain
Folks music awards. She received a nomination for Best
Pop Album of the Year for "Be", and nominations for Best
Pop Song of the Year for "Someday" and "Only". The
awards
show was held in March 2003.
In the fall, two motion pictures
featured Brooke's original music.
Stealing Harvard, from Sony Pictures, stars Tom Green, Jason
Lee and Dennis Farina.
Listen for Brooke's song "Anything", from "Tulips Bleed". The Warner Brothers motion picture
White Oleander features Brooke's song "Someday" from "Be". The
film stars Michelle Pfeiffer, Renee Zellweger and Robin Wright
Penn.
April 7 -- Kelly Cox on
95.5 KLOS,
one of the premier rock radio stations in Southern California,
featured six songs from "Be" -- "Superhuman World", "No
Fear", "If You Love Me", "Someday", "Now", and "Colors" -- on
her program "Local Licks". That same week,
"Make Tomorrow Up" was used on a commercial for the hit WB
series, "Dawson's Creek".
Winter -- The WB Network's new series "Glory Days"
featured five of Brooke's songs -- "Someday"
and "Now" (both from "Be") on February 6 and 13,
respectively, two songs from "Tulips Bleed"
("Goodbye" and "Tornado") on February 20,
and "Be" on March 18 -- and made Brooke a
featured artist. And three of Brooke's songs -- "Make Tomorrow Up", "Love Is Gonna
Find Me", and "Movie Star" -- were used on the NBC
Saturday morning series "All About Us".
Brooke started
off the year by releasing her fourth album
of original material, "Be".
2001
Late in the
year Brooke
released a
compilation CD called "You are the Wind".
This is a compilation
of positive songs with uplifting messages,
including two previously
unreleased tracks - "You are the Wind" and an unplugged version
her new song, "Walk through the Flowers".
And for the 2001 holiday season Brooke
released a second printing of her "unplugged" Christmas CD, "Merry,
Merry Christmas" -- which sold out just as quickly as
the first printing in 2000.
In
October and November Brooke returned
to the Midwest for her second tour of the area.
Besides playing in local venues, Brooke performed at a number of
schools and brought her positive message to the
students and staff. This visit was written up in the

The motion
picture "Tart" featured two of Brooke's songs from Tulips
Bleed -- "Time Space and Distance" and "The Answer".
And "Venus and Mars", starring Lynn Redgrave, featured
"Anything" from Tulips Bleed.
During the
summer Brooke performed
with her band (including an awesome string
section) at a
number of really great events -- mostly
outdoor events. In July,
Brooke opened for Sophie B. Hawkins at the Galaxy Concert
Theatre and in September
she performed a series of concerts
at the L.A. County Fair with her fantastic band of highly
talented musicians.
During July and August Brooke opened for some amazing acts
at the Fashion Island Summer Concert Series,
performing to an average of 2,000 people per concert!
The
headliners included Christopher Cross, Starship, Royal Crown
Revue, The Nelsons, Scott Wilke, and A
Flock of Seagulls.
In April, Brooke completed a very successful tour in Kansas. She
played at a number of schools in Kansas during the week and
then also performed at local venues on the weekend.
Brooke opened for
the extremely talented Jonatha Brooke at the Coach House in San
Juan Capistrano on March 29. She is a wonderful
singer/guitarist/songwriter. Brooke had a lot of fun and also
managed to play a few of her new songs.
In March, Brooke traveled
to Nashville where she wrote six news songs
for the soon-to-be released album, "Be".
On February 18th, Brooke
opened to a capacity crowd for Shawn
Colvin at The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano.
2000
Brooke
appeared on an episode of the hit TV show
"7th Heaven" on December 11, 2000, singing the title track
of her new CD "Make Tomorrow Up".
This episode was aired for a
second time on March 19, 2001 and has been
seen many times since in syndication.
The new
NBC TV show "Ed"
used Brooke's song "Anything", from
"Tulips Bleed", on their November 12,
2000 episode.
Late in the
year
Brooke finished shooting her first music video to "Make
Tomorrow Up" (the title track of her
third album) directed
by Robert Cassard for Edge Films.
On October 8,
2000, Brooke opened again for her musical hero, David
Wilcox at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, California.
She says it was one of her favorite shows of all time.
In September
2000 Brooke performed with her band for the one year
anniversary of The Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. They performed
outside in a traditional French street fair, singing in both
English and French.
On September 22,
2000, Brooke and her band did a benefit concert
for a group of teachers and students traveling to Thailand
to improve literacy and study skills.
Summer --
Brooke records and releases her third CD of original music, "Make
Tomorrow Up".
Brooke and her band performed twice at Universal CityWalk
in Los Angeles, on a stage next to the movie theatres.
June 30, 2000 -- 95.9 The Mix
interviewed Brooke on air and played her song "The Answer". They were hosting the Taylor Dayne
show earlier in the week
-- where they saw Brooke perform -- and invited her to be on the air!
Brooke performed the National Anthem on June 29, 2000, at Staples Center before the LA Avengers Arena Football game. She performed a cappella in front of thousands of people! It was sponsored
and broadcast by KIIS-FM,
so if you think you heard her on the radio saying, "I'm Brooke, and I'm
singing the National Anthem," you were right!
April 5, 2000 -- A second song from "Tulips Bleed"
-- "Anything" is featured on an episode of the WB Network's "Dawson's
Creek".
March 1, 2000 -- Brooke's song "The Answer",
from "Tulips Bleed", was featured
on an episode of "Dawson's Creek"
on the WB Network, and she is an "Artist in the Spotlight" on the Dawson's Creek

Brooke performs over 250 gigs in 1999. "The Answer"
is featured on the
hit WB Network television series "Charmed".
Brooke continues
playing LA clubs, and shares a stage with acts such as Vonda
Shephard, Beth Hart, Richie Furay, Bernie Taupin and the Farm
Dogs, and David Wilcox.
1998
Brooke records and releases her
second CD, "Tulips
Bleed".
The
hit Fox television series
"Party
of Five"
becomes the first of many television series to feature Brooke's
music, using her song "Down” in
one of its episodes.
Brooke receives her first radio airplay when
KROQ radio celebrity Rodney Bingenheimer debuted her song
"Mainstream"
and chose it for his "Top 5 Picks of the Week".
1997
Brooke puts together her first band and
starts playing small Los Angeles clubs.
Brooke
performs for the first time at the legendary Los Angeles club
The Troubador.
1996
Brooke records and releases her debut CD,
"Movie Star".
